Partial flux — Measurement reliability of lensed LEDs

ثبت نشده
چکیده

Most LED manufacturers use units of luminous intensity (cd) for the measurement and classification of LED brightness. For numerous LED types, this procedure is reliable and reproducible. However, for LEDs with narrow emission angle characteristics, this method is inadequate. This application note describes the procedures for measuring luminous intensity, partial flux and luminous flux, along with the advantages and disadvantages relating to LED design. Valid for: all lensed LEDs Author: Stefanie Retsch / Dr. Werner Marchl Application Note No. AN014

Color Shift Failure Prediction for Phosphor-Converted White LEDs by Modeling Features of Spectral Power Distribution with a Nonlinear Filter Approach

With the expanding application of light-emitting diodes (LEDs), the color quality of white LEDs has attracted much attention in several color-sensitive application fields, such as museum lighting, healthcare lighting and displays. Reliability concerns for white LEDs are changing from the luminous efficiency to color quality. However, most of the current available research on the reliability of ...

Stimuli Effects of Different LEDs on Some Morphological and Biochemical Traits of Two Varieties of Calendula officinalis

In the production of flowers and ornamental plants, especially in the advanced greenhouse conditions, it is important to have a good light source and its accurate management. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of light quality on morphological and biochemical traits of two Marigold genotypes (Iranian-native and Gitana). This experiment was conducted in a completely randomized design with t...

X-ray and Optical Flux Ratio Anomalies in Quadruply Lensed Quasars: I. Zooming in on Quasar Emission Regions

X-ray and optical observations of quadruply lensed quasars can provide a micro-arcsecond probe of the lensed quasar. In this paper we utilize X-ray observations of ten lensed quasars recorded with the Chandra X-ray Observatory as well as corresponding optical data obtained by either the Hubble Space Telescope or ground-based optical telescopes. These are analyzed in a systematic and uniform way...

Gravitationally Lensed μJy Radio Sources towards Galaxy Clusters

Galaxy clusters are expected to gravitationally lens background radio sources. However, due to the smaller surface density of radio sources, when compared to optical galaxies, such lensed events are rare. For an example, it is expected that there is no lensed radio source due to foreground galaxy clusters in the 1.4 GHz VLA FIRST survey. However, at the μJy level, the surface density of radio s...
